THE PUTTER

The most used club in your golf bag.

Putters are used in hitting the ball around and on the green by means of a stroke and not a swing.  

Club Loft - 1 to 3 Degrees.· 

Distance covered by the Putter - 50 Yards and Closer.

Choosing a Putter is a very personal decision,  Try a few different types of Putters before making 

your choice. The Putter should feel good in your hands, have a nice grip, be the correct length and 

have the right weight.


DRIVER WOOD (Metal)

The Driver is a 1 Wood or 2 Wood, used for driving off most tee boxes on Par 4 and 5 holes by means 

of a full swing.

Club Loft - 7 to 14 Degrees.

Distance covered by the Driver - 220 to 300 Yards. Choosing a Driver Club can be a very difficult 

choice, it is advisable to try out a few Driver types before choosing one. Choosing the correct Driver 

is very dependent on the loft of the club and shaft flex that suites you.


FAIRWAY WOODS (Metal)·

Fairway Wood Range - 3 Wood, 4 Wood and 5 Wood, mostly used for long distance shots from 

the fairway or for driving from the tee box.

Club Loft for  the 3 Wood - 15 to 17 Degrees, 4 Wood - 18 to 20 Degrees and 

5 Wood - 21 to 23 Degrees.·

Distance covered by the 3,4 and 5 Woods - 180 to 220 Yards.

Choosing a Fairway Woods can be a very difficult choice, it is advisable to try out a few different 

types before choosing them.

There are a further range of woods that can be used ranging from a 6 - 14 wood. These woods are 

not commonly used but why not try them as they may work for you.


HYBRIDS OR UTILITY CLUBS

The Hybrid clubs are a combination of a metal wood and the iron club. Normally used for 

Driving off the tee box or long fairway shots as the driver and fairway woods do.
